Drake- Ignorant shit
Ok so yea this is remake of jay Z's song on Americian gangster by the same of ignorant shit.Damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn drizzy went hard on this and even weeezy killed this track. These two are so right they make magic like Royd and sigfried.
Ryan leslie how is suppose to be vs Toto Africa
I was listening to this Ryan leslie song yesterday and i realized that a particular section of the beat sounds so familiar. After listening to it for a while i realize like last year erik b and rakim got raped through samples this year it might be Toto's year. Listen to these tunes and see if you notice the similarity.

why read a blog
So i had a project to do for school and it came out pretty interesting.Having a music blog and a podcast site actually paid off. For this project i had to create a slidecast, this got me to thinking as to why people would read a blogs such as my own or a blog within a music cluster. Here is the though and ideas i have come up with.

jd era
From now on my blog is going to have more can con music on it since i have come to the conclusion that the bigger this city's music industry get the bigger i get.I kept hearing about this artist name jd era and i must say i luv his style. From now i'm gonna follow up on his growth and here are two of his tracks.

A new editorial has surfaced on the world of mercury called the true feelings of a dj by Rusty G aka the senile dj (lol jks). I have been dodging this topic for a long time since it is something i'm passionate about. However it is frequent of various dj forums and articles all over the internet. On these tools of information we see a lot of arrogant people who have a stereotypes about what it is to be a real dj.A perfect eg of this is "LAPTOP DJ's. NO MATTER WHAT SYSTEM YOU USE- WE HAVE A PROBLEM WITH ALL OF YOU. EVERY SINGLE LAST ONE OF YOU. REGARDLESS, OF WHERE YOU PLAY. IF YOU PLAY IN YOUR BATHROOM, OR PLAY CLUB GIGS FOR $10 A NIGHT- YOU ARE MAKING A MOCKERY OF ELECTRONIC MUSIC. WE DON'T LIKE YOU. TALK AMONGST YOURSELVES....CAUSE AIN'T NOBODY ELSE LISTENING". These people term us computer dj's who cant mix with cd or vinyl and the computer does the mixing not us( this topic will be discussed at a later time).
On a real note, this article expresses how we djs really feel and why we do what we do. This is the reason why we get numerous noise complaints, put in many hours of practice and sometimes neglect those around us.
As a dj the best option is to be you and a you will eventually find your pathway or your following.I mean we all cant play the top 40's in every genre or make mix tapes following the set trends.Look at any mix tape website and u will see that the majority of the mix tapes posted have the same themes with the same music just in a different order.Going to a club has now become like a standardized test where all the tunes are played in the same order and no one want to step out of this box Anyways before i continue my ramblings here is the article.
Anyone who knows me will agree that I speak what’s on my mind and rarely hold back. I’m officially 5 years in the game now and loving it for the most part. I like to take pride in the fact that I AM A REAL DJ and I try my best to represent the art and the culture by sharing my love for music with as many people as I can reach. Before anyone gets it twisted, the point of this is not to diss, hate or humiliate those out there that I would not consider “Real DJ’s” but just to express what I believe makes one, who knows maybe reading this will be a wake up call for some.
So what makes a real DJ? For starters you have to understand that a real DJ does not just play music, he/she lives it. For them it is not a hobby or a part-time job, it is a way of life. From the moment that I decided to take this seriously my life has never been the same. I will always have a different perspective and view on things and people in general because of it. A real DJ is never in it just for the hype or to be famous, he/she doesn’t use it to just to boost social status or to gain certain benefits (e.g. Get girls/get guys). You will find that if you ask most real DJ’s why they do it, money is always stressed but rarely the motivator (I will have to cover a DJ’s price another time).
There are many ways to pick out a real DJ from the rest, most times its very obvious. Scratching is one dead giveaway of a DJ’s dedication to the craft. A DJ however does not need to be an expert at cutting and blending to be classified as a real DJ. Good selection, solid mixing, remixing and MC’in are all skills that a DJ can use to enhance their performance. The battle lines are drawn in the sand when a DJ decides to be lazy and does not pursue any of these elements. These types of DJ’s (they all know who they are) are doing themselves and everyone around them a severe injustice. It is NOT good enough to say “I just need to have the songs people want to hear.” A DJ that thinks in this way does not understand their place and role in the music industry and might as well be replaced with an I-pod.
A real DJ does not need to have EVERY song that you want to hear at that time, but they MUST have a firm knowledge of the musical genre they claim to specialize in. A real DJ puts in the effort to ensure that they are constantly learning about the different types of music they play. They maintain a vast collection of songs from old to new and mix it up for the audience so that each experience is refreshing and unique.
A real DJ has to be confident in their abilities. The size of a dub box does not define a DJ; neither does the number of bookings one gets in a week, month or year. A DJ can have 20 years of experience and still not fall in the category of being a REAL DJ.
This could go on forever so I will stop here for now. I hope all of my REAL DJ’s enjoyed reading this. I’m looking forward to getting feedback from everyone on their thoughts behind the subject. I’m sure there are many aspects and things I did not cover so I would like to hear what you think. Until next time

Derogatory
Ok so yesterday i actually started to realize the shit music has gone to the dogs.Every hit song we hear now is sexually per vocative no matter what genre. Now this train of though hit me when i heard kids no older than 12 singing " buddy in ya pum pum and you spin me right round when u go down".i was like do these kids know what they are saying or listening two. This caused me to feel guilty since as a dj i help to promote these songs and all the songs they were singing i have played before.Half the time i don't even realize listen to the whole song i just check to see if its something worth playing and its a wrap. After this occurrence i will try harder to do my best while taking over this city to play better uplifting music to a younger crowd.

serato sl3

Ok this pisses me off cause its like i just got use to my Serato and my turntables . What am i gonna do with my old Serato box since the value just depreciated.Funny this i'm sorry for all the dj's who just bought serato this yr cause this came out like hiroshima. Now that my frustrations are released, the new Serato sl3 is a monster and a killer for all its competition. It is is now easier to switch between dj's and they added more outputs. They also added a live feed so as u can record your mixes as well as add samplers such as kueit. The other feature include
New, Compact Hardware Design
Higher output improves ability to easily match levels of various source types
Improved Dynamic Range (104 dB)
Improved audio performance (24 bit converters)
Galvanic isolation prevents computer noise from interfering with the audio path
USB 2.0 high speed audio interface
Aux Input for Live Mix Recording or LiveFeed
Aux Out channel allows use of Sample Player as a virtual deck and opens the door for future expansion and creative configurations for DJs and electronic musicians
High-grade Phono Preamps upgrade performance of most mixers
Software switchable Direct Thru Connections for simplified connections
Independent Line/ Phono-level selection for each input for greater flexibility
Includes International Power Supply to insure optimum performance and easy transfer between DJs

Dream two hits in two hrs
This is very interesting video since everyone thinks its easy to be a producer and people don't make mistakes.from this video u can see the grind they go through and the imagination to mold sounds in to bars and beats it takes to come up with a hit. Seeing shit like this makes me know that every time i make a bad mix i can always grow and get to the next level.
big sample vol (1)till in infinity
Ok so i've been vibing to Kidz in the hall for a while and their tunes are hard like life struggles.anyway being bored at the hustle i found an old song of theirs and it has in a sample from my fav song of all time.
